How to Revamp Your Dentist Office Newsletter

If you are like most of the dentist that we’ve worked with,  you have probably been trapped with a cookie cutter office newsletter. There are many companies out there that have pre-written content that is supposed to make your life easier.  When actually all it is a waste of perfectly good paper and ink. Your dental newsletter doesn’t have to be packed tight with dental terminology and tips on how to brush correctly. It should offer your patients personal information about who you are as a dentist and as a practice and how you can guide them to dental happiness. Get into the habit of choosing quality over quantity. If your newsletter ends up being just a page of quality information that your patients actually read image the impact that could have on your business.

So I’d like to share a few tips on how to breath life back into your dental newsletter.

  1. Get your patients involved
With all the patients you see it should be easy enough to get a few to feature in your newsletter. Show some before and after shots. It could also be fun to include some fun facts about them as well. Some other ways to involve your patients in your newsletter would be to share their photos, testimonials. Take it a step further and allow them to post a small business ad. Your patients keep your business running. Including them in your office newsletter is another way to say thank you and we appreciate you.
  2. Email Your Newsletter
I’ll keep this tip brief. If you are not sending and email newsletter please start today. Here’s a post about how to get started with and email newsletter
  3. Choose A Theme
Choosing a theme is not only fun for you readers, but it can keep you focused on the type of content you include in your newsletter. If one of the reason you use a cookie cutter solutions is because you can’t think of what to write, keeping all of your content around a central topic can make this process alot easier. A good way to choose a theme is to take into consideration the time of year, Holidays, etc.
